A critical error occurred while activating, the type of the error is Send error (12002)

Scenario: This kind of error appears while activation of K7 security product due to Downadup infections/ if any proxy details are enabled in your network connectivity.

Steps to follow:

1. Check for an active Internet connection.

2. Check if you are able to open, if not please click here to run the DTool.

3. After running the Dtool try activating the product without restarting the PC.

4. If the issue persists, check if you are connecting to the Internet using a proxy. This can be checked in Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings.

5. If there are no proxy details entered in Internet Explorer, check and remove proxy details entered in your K7 product if any

6. Open the K7 product and click on Updates > Configure Updates > Access Internet Through proxy Server.

7. Remove the proxy details and try activating the product.
