Unable to install K7 due to the presence of other anti-virus products

Scenario: This issue will occur if you are trying to install the K7 security product in the system in which already another antivirus product is available or traces left over in the registry.

Steps to follow:

1. Remove Conflicting Antivirus Software:

  • Open the Control Panel.
  • Before installing K7, ensure that third party antivirus product is removed using the respective AV removal tool.
  • Navigate to Programs and Features (or Programs depending on your Windows version).
  • Locate and double-click on the existing antivirus software to uninstall it.
  • If uninstallation difficulties arise, consult the specific antivirus software's removal tool instructions.


2. If there are no traces of other AV, Download the K7 AV Conflict Fixer tool in order to fix the conflict issue while installing K7 product

3. After running the K7 AV Conflict Fixer tool, Please close Installation windows and retry for the installation.

4.  Perform Clean Installation with Elevated Privileges (if conflict removal persists):

  • Download the latest K7 Security Software installer.
  • Right-click on the installer and select Run as administrator.
  • Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift simultaneously.
  • While holding the keys, click on "Agree and Install" to proceed with the installation.
  • Release the keys only after the installation is complete.
