Scenario: This article addresses the issue of being unable to access Chrome while using K7 Security Software. The issue might be caused by K7 Firewall restricting Chrome's internet access.
Steps to follow :
- Verify Chrome Firewall Permissions:
- Open the K7 Security Software.
- Navigate to Settings > Firewall > Application Control.
- Locate Google Chrome in the application list and click Edit.
- Ensure that the option "Program has unrestricted access to the internet" is selected. If not, select it and click Save.
- If you are unable to make any changes kindly remove the Google Chrome from the list.
- Reset K7 Product Settings (if Chrome permissions are correct):
- Open the K7 Security Software.
- Click on Settings in the top menu.
- Select General Settings.
- Click on the Load Install Settings button at the bottom.
- Confirm the action by clicking OK.
- Restart your system.
After performing these steps, relaunch Chrome and verify if you can access the internet.
